Michael van Lingen was born on the 2nd of May 1984 in Heerlen, Netherlands. He is a Namibian cricketer who has played for the Netherlands national cricket team since 2004. Van Lingen made his international debut against Sri Lanka in 2004 and has since played 22 matches for the country, with his best performance coming when he took 5 wickets during the 2006 ICC World Cricket League Division Four tournament.
Van Lingen started his cricket career playing club cricket in Heerlen before moving to Rotterdam in 2002, where he made his first-class debut for the Dutch national team. His performances in first-class cricket led to him being signed by Hampshire County Cricket Club in England in 2004. Van Lingen spent two seasons with Hampshire before returning to Holland to play for Eindhovens Crème De La Crème in 2006.
The following year, he joined Northamptonshire County Cricket Club and has since played for them twice; first during the 2009 English County Championship and then again during the 2010 English County Championship. In 2012, van Lingen signed a two-year contract with Sussex County Cricket Club and has since played for them three times; once during the 2013 English County Championship and twice during the 2014 English County Championship and 2015 English One-Day Cup.

Michael van Lingen was born on 16 December 1988 in Windhoek, Namibia. He is a wicket-keeper batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler who has played first-class cricket for Namibia since the 2006/07 season. Van Lingen made his international debut for Namibia in 2005 against Zimbabwe and has since cemented his place as one of the country’s most consistent players.
