Mitchell Ross Marsh (born 18 February 1987) is an Australian cricketer who plays for the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League. He has been a regular member of the Australian cricket team . He has also played for Hobart Hurricanes, Sydney Thunder, and Perth Scorchers in the Australian National League and English county side Somerset.

Marsh made his international debut for Australia against South Africa in December 2013 and captained Australia in their first World Twenty20 game against New Zealand on 12 March 2014. In March 2016, he was named as one of five Wisden Cricketers of the Year. He made his List A debut for Tasmania in the 2006–07 season, and his first-class debut for Victoria in the 2007–08 season.

Mitchell Ross Marsh was an Australian cricketer who played first-class cricket for Tasmania from 1927 to 1936. He was also a successful Test player, making his debut in 1937 and playing 38 matches. Marsh was one of the most controversial players of his era, frequently involved in controversies both on and off the field.

Marsh was born on 7 December 1901 in Burnie, Tasmania, Australia. He started playing cricket at an early age and played for Burnie’s junior team before moving to Melbourne to play for Victoria in 1920. In 1925, he moved to Tasmania, where he became one of the state’s best batsmen and also developed into a good all-rounder. He made his first-class debut for Tasmania in 1927 and played 31 first-class matches over the next three years before making his Test debut against England at the Brisbane Cricket Ground in 1937. In Tests, Marsh is best known for his innings of 254 not out against England at Melbourne in 1938, which is currently still the highest score by an Australian batsman in Tests. After retiring from Test cricket in 1942, Marsh continued to play first-class cricket until 1946 and later represented New South Wales between 1951 and 1957. Mitchell Ross Marsh was born on the 19th of July in 1892 in Adelaide, South Australia. He attended Prince Alfred College and played cricket for the school team before turning professional in 1912. Marsh made his debut for New South Wales in 1911-12 and went on to play 154 matches for the state, including 74 Tests. He is best known for his role as one of Australia’s leading bowlers during the late 1920s and early 1930s, taking 188 wickets at an average of 29.40. His most notable performance came during the 1932-33 Ashes series where he took 27 wickets in three matches, including figures of 7/103 from Sheffield Shield cricket. In 1935 he was named Australian Cricketer of the Year and two years later he retired from first-class cricket. After retiring from playing, Marsh became a cricket coach and managed several teams before eventually retiring in 1969. He died on the 14th of December in 1989 at the age of 92.
