Maheesh Theekshana is a Sri Lankan cricketer who plays for the MCCA Knockout Trophy. He made his List A debut in the 2016–17 season, playing for the Kurunegala Youth Cricket Club. In September 2017, he was named in Sri Lanka’s squad for the 2017 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament. He made his first-class debut for Western Province in the 2016–17 Premier League Tournament on 2 April 2017.

Maheesh Theekshana is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Sri Lanka Cricket in the 2016–17 Premier League Tournament on 5 February 2017. He made his List A debut for Sinhalese Sports Club in the 2017–18 Premier Limited Overs Tournament on 24 January 2018. He made his One Day International debut against Zimbabwe in December 2014. His first ODI century came against India in the Nidahas Trophy later that year. He also scored a fifty against Pakistan during the 2015 Asia Cup. He became an integral part of the Sri Lanka squad for the 2016 ICC World T20 where he played all six matches, including the final, as Sri Lanka reached the semi-finals where they eventually lost to India.

He was named Player of the Tournament at the 2016 Asia Cup after scoring 319 runs at an average of 68.33 with two centuries and a half-century while taking five wickets with an economy rate of 5.97

He attended Mahinda College and Srimathulu Sports Academy before making his first-class debut for Burgher Union Cricket Club in 2004–05 season. In 2005–06 he moved to Sinhalese Sports Club and helped them win the Premier Trophy. The following season he moved to Colombo Cricket Club and helped them win the President’s Trophy, as well as taking part in Sri Lanka’s first-ever Test match against Bangladesh at Dhaka.

Maheesh Theekshana is a Sri Lankan cricket player who has played for several domestic teams and made his debut for the Sri Lanka national cricket team in March 2019. He has also represented the Sri Lanka under-19s and Under-23s teams. Maheesh was born on 8 November 1997 in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. Morawakage Maheesh’s biggest success comes from representing his country in major international tournaments. In 2017, he was part of the Sri Lankan side that clinched the ICC World Twenty20 title under the captaincy of Dinesh Chandimal. He also captained Sri Lanka in their successful bid for a place at the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
