Kane William Richardson is an Australian cricketer who has played for the Melbourne Stars, Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League (BBL). He has been a regular member of the Australian cricket team . He made his international debut for Australia in November 2016. He was born on 18 December 1994 in Brisbane, Queensland. His father, Wayne Richardson, played first-class cricket for Queensland and South Australia. Kane Richardson’s early life is shrouded in some controversy. As a youth, he was repeatedly kicked out of school and into juvenile detention.

In 2014, he was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment for aggravated burglary and theft after breaking into a home while he was on bail for another offence. He is an Australian cricketer who played for the Victorian Bushrangers and then for the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League (BBL). Richardson made his Test debut against India in January 2016 and also played at the Cricket World Cup that year.

Richardson started playing cricket at a young age and represented Victoria at under-17 and under-19 level. In 2003, he made his first-class debut for Victoria and finished the season with 361 runs from six matches. That year he also made his List A debut for Victoria against Queensland and scored a fifty in that match. In 2004, Richardson had an inconsistent season with Victoria, scoring 1,364 runs from twenty-four matches but also taking 7 wickets. Richardson first made a name for himself as a bowler with the Queensland Bulls under-19s side before being drafted by the Melbourne Renegades for their inaugural BBL season in 2007.
