The all-rounder Luke Jongwe was born in Harare. He played his maiden international match in 2014 against South Africa. Jongwe has played in the Under-17 team of Zimbabwe as well. Slowly and steadily, he made progress and barged into the senior side. He then played for the Under-19 team as well.
He opened his account in domestic cricket in 2013, when he played for Southern Rocks that year. After that, Jongwe moved to another first class cricket franchise, Matabeleland Tuskers and has been playing for them since 2014. Jongwe’s best bowling figure in first class cricket came while playing for Tuskers when he took 7 wickets for 90 runs while in the ODI format, his best bowling figure came against Afghanistan in 2016. Jongwe took 5 wickets for 6 runs and overall second best figure in ODI by any bowler.
