Ebadot Hussain would have never thought that one day he’ll be playing international cricket for Bangladesh team, as he used to play volleyball before becoming a cricketer. He got a chance to showcase his talent in 2016, when a talent program was run by the BCB and he was able to impress the supervisor of that program, Aaqib Javed.
He was selected in the Sylhet Division team in 2016. It didn’t take him long to do something extraordinary and prove his worthiness. During the 2017-18 Bangladesh cricket league, he took 13 dismissals to his name and was the leading wicket taker for his team. Ebadot played his maiden BPL for Sylhet Sixers in 2018.
Ebadot took 10 wickets in a match during a first class competition in 2018. He made his international debut against New Zealand in a test match and could take only 1 wicket. But just after 3 years, he got first five wickets haul in test cricket against the same team, New Zealand.
