He was first bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore and then by Pune Warriors India which was then dissolved and he then went to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2014 auction for 4.25 crores. In the IPL 2016, he was the top wicket taker of the tournament and his team won that edition of IPL as well. He was named the Vice captain of the team as well in 2018 and has been in the SRH from 2014 to 2022.
