Early life and career of Anil Teja Nidamanuru

Anil Teja Nidamanuru, also known as Netherland’s Anil Teja, is a cricketer from the Netherlands. He made his first-class debut for the Dutch national cricket team in June 2018. He played for the Netherlands in the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Four tournament.

Nidamanuru was born on 18 January 1998 in Welkom, South Africa to Tamil parents who had immigrated to South Africa from Sri Lanka. His family moved to the Netherlands when he was five years old. Nidamanuru started playing cricket at a young age and represented his school in various tournaments across the Netherlands. In 2018, he made his first-class debut for the Dutch national cricket team against Ireland.

He played two further matches for the Dutch that year and also represented them in two matches of the 2017 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament. In September 2018, he signed a one-year contract with English club Leicestershire County Cricket Club. However, he did not make any appearances for them and left their squad after one month.
