Born in Dublin, Ireland , Gareth Delany is an all-rounder of the Irish team. He hails from a cricketing family. His brother David Delany and Laura Delany are cricketers too. He currently represents Munster Reds in domestic cricket. Delany made his international debut for Ireland in 2019. His maiden T20 match came in 2017 Inter-provincial Trophy. He played for Leinster Lighting that year and even made his first class and List A debut for them.
He first played for Ireland Wolves against Scotland A team in June 2019. Later in the same month, he was named in the squad for the series against Zimbabwe. His T20I debut came in the same series. Delany was named in the squad for qualifiers of 2019 World Cup and then for the series against West Indies but didn’t play a single match and made his ODI debut in 2020.
