The bowling all-rounder, an aggressive lower middle order batsman of the Ireland team, Curtis Campher was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He had the passion to play cricket from an early age. Leaving his hometown, Campher moved to Ireland to get a spot in the Ireland cricket team. He is just a 23 years old young lad, who is very talented. Campher had played for the Under-19 South African team in early cricketing career.
He finally got a chance to play for the Ireland team in 2020, when he was included into the Ireland Wolves squad for their tour of Namibia. Later that year, he got a chance to play in the senior Irish team. He was named in the squad for the series against England, where on his maiden ODI match, he scored 59 important runs.
He then again played for Ireland Wolves against Bangladesh emerging team in 2021. Camphers’ best bowling figure came against Netherlands in the T20 World Cup 2021 qualifiers when he took a hat trick and became the first Irish bowler to have this achievement and ended the match with 4 wickets.
