The Perth Stadium is a new addition to Australia’s stadium inventory. It was completed in 2017 while its construction started in 2014. It’s situated in Burswood, Western Australia. Perth Stadium is currently the third largest stadium in Australia as it can fit 61000 people in it.
Perth Stadium officially opened for cricket matches in 2018. The very first contest it hosted was a test match between Australia and India in 2018 and the maiden ODI match was also played in 2018
It is the home cricket ground of the Western Australia Team and Perth Scorchers. Only 2 T20Is have been played here and the highest total here was made by England which was 208 in a T20I match.
It hasn’t hosted enough matches to reach a conclusion about the kind of pitch and conditions it offers but we can say that it offers an advantage to the bowlers but if you have a good batting line-up, you’ll be able to score big. It has synthesised stabilised turf on its surface.
Perth Stadium has also hosted Australian Football league and Rugby matches as well.
