Pathum Nissanka Sri Lanka cricket player is an allrounder who plays for the national team and also for the Lankan Premier League. He is a right-handed batsman, who bowls right-arm offbreak. He was born on 4th of February 1988 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Pathum represented Sri Lanka at the Under-19 level before making his full international debut in November 2007. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut against India on 12th of January 2009, scoring 31 from 43 balls. He scored his first Test century against Zimbabwe on 23rd of January 2013. He became the fastest batsman to score 10,000 runs in ODI format and was also adjudged man of the match for his innings of 137*. At the age of 29 years and 357 days, he became the third-youngest cricketer to reach 10,000 ODI runs. Pathum has also been a part of the Sri Lankan team that won the 2011 Cricket World Cup tournament.
