The Kardinia Park Stadium is situated in the Victoria state of Australia in South of Geelong. It has the dimensions of 170m×115m and has the capacity of 26000 now but after its construction will be completed in 2023, it would be able to host 40000 people.
Kardinia Park stadium has natural grass on its surface. Its estimated cost is more than $300 million. This stadium was previously named Simonds Stadium.It is the home ground of the Victoria team.
The only T20I played here was between Sri Lanka and Australia. It has also hosted football matches of local Australian Football clubs. Several Rugby matches have been played here as well.
It was opened for cricket matches in 2016 and it has hosted BBL since then. Australia was supposed to host the 2020 T20 World Cup but it got postponed and it will host the 2022 T20 World Cup and one the stadium where matches will be played is Kardinia Park stadium.
