Batting & Fielding
Afif Hussain sauntered into the Bangladeshi team in 2018 and made a quick impression. He is a batting all-rounder who bats with left hand while bowls with right hand.
Afif impressed everyone with his power hitting at an early age and some even called him the next Tamim Iqbal. He was the vice-captain of Bangladeshi Under-19 team in 2016 World Cup and in the same year he made his BPL debut as well for Rajshahi Kings. On his debut match, he produced a great performance and took 5 wickets by just conceding 21 runs in 4 overs.
Having impressed with the bowl in BPL, he didn’t take too long to make an impression with his bat and scored a century on his debut first class match in Bangladesh Cricket league 2016-17. He made his debut in 2018 but sadly was dropped from the team, just after 1 match. He returned to the Bangladesh squad in the Tri-nation series 2019. On his return, he played a mature and match winning knock to take his team to victory against Zimbabwe. He then became a regular member of Bangladesh team and played several important knocks in the coming matches.
