Shakib-al- Hassan is one of those cricketers which are produced once in a millennium. Bangladesh’s finest cricketer and currently the no 1 all-rounder in the World, Shakib has been playing cricket from an early age. With his talent and hunger for cricket, he earned a place in the Under-19 squad of Bangladesh team in 2005 and on his debut, he scored 24 runs while took 2 wickets for 26 runs and bowled 2 maiden overs.
Shakib made his ODI and T20I debut in 2006 against Zimbabwe. Shakib’s 7 wickets for 36 runs against New Zealand in a test match in 2008, was his first prominent performance in international cricket. He holds the record of being the no 1 all-rounder in all three formats at least for once in his life.
A 22 years old Shakib led his team in a test series against West Indies in 2009, came out victorious and also being the player of series with his 13 wickets and impactful contribution with bat as well. He has represented Bangladesh team in almost every ICC event since he debuted. Shakib is a belligerent batter as well who has played many important innings for his team up until now.
Shakib’s useful century against West Indies in the 2019 ODI World cup took his team to victory and overall he was exceptionally impressive in the event. He has played in several leagues around the World such as IPL, PSL, BBL, CPL and LPL. Shakib is a versatile left arm off- spinner that keeps on producing great performances for his team with bat and ball.
