Richard Ngarava started his international career for Zimbabwe in 2017. The left hand pacer Ngarava is a new addition to the pace bowling inventory of the Zimbabwean team. He debuted against Afghanistan. Ngarava was selected in the squad that played an ODI series against Afghanistan in 2017.
He has the best bowling figure of 2/37 in the ODI format. Prior to his inclusion to the senior side, Ngarava played for the Zimbabwean A team. He had also played in the Under-19 team of Zimbabwe that participated in the 2016 World Cup. Ngarava began his T20 career in the 2016 Africa Cup where he represented Zimbabwe.
He recorded his career’s best bowling figure in first class cricket in 2017-18 Logan Cup while representing Rising Stars. Ngarava’s T20I debut came two years after his ODI debut in 2019, followed by his test debut in 2021. Ngarava has the ability to move the ball and bowls a good bouncer as well.
