In the recent few years, there have been a lot of talented players to emerge from Afghanistan, Usman Ghani is one of them. Ghani is a right-handed opening batter. He entered into the World of cricket in 2014 and played in the ACC Premier league. He scored two consistent half centuries in that tournament, first against Hong Kong and then against UAE. Ghani ended the tournament with 228 runs and led the chart of top run-scorers.
Then in the next year in 2015, he scored 79 match winning runs against Zimbabwe A team. Ghani has 3 centuries in List A cricket and 2 in first class cricket. He has an average of 55 in List A cricket. Afghanistan’s team lacks some good players in the batting department and Ghani could be a good addition to their side. Ghani had played in the Under-19 team of Afghanistan as well prior to his debut for the senior side.
