Mohammad Babar Azam, also known as M.B.A, (born 3 December 1986) is a Pakistani cricketer who has played for both international and domestic teams. He is considered one of the best all-rounders in the world and is a member of the Pakistan cricket team. Babar was born in Sialkot, Punjab to parents Musa Babar and Iqbal.

He started playing cricket at an early age and showed high promise, captaining his school team to several victories. He made his debut for Pakistan A in 2003/04 season and after impressing with consistent performances for the side, made his first-class debut for Punjab in November 2004. He made history in February 2005 when he became the first player from Pakistan to score a century in an ICC Intercontinental Cup match against Sri Lanka.

Mohammad Babar Azam is a Pakistani cricketer who has played for several first-class teams in Pakistan and internationally. He made his international debut in 2007, and has since represented the country in numerous tournaments, including the World Cup and the Champions Trophy. Mohammad Babar Azam was born on 17 December 1984 in Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan. After completing his schooling from Model School Sargodha, he enrolled at the University of Edinburgh to study business management.

However, he changed course after only one year and started playing cricket seriously. He made his first-class debut for Rawalpindi in 2002–03 season. The following season he moved to Lahore and played for Lahore Blues. In 2006–07 season he joined Karachi Dolphins where he finished as runner up of National One-Day Tournament that season.

He also played for Multan Tigers in the next two seasons before returning to Lahore Blues for the 2010–11 season. In 2011–12 season he joined Quetta Gladiators before joining Peshawar Zalmi for the 2013–14 season. In February 2016 Mohammad Babar Azam announced his retirement from all forms of cricket with immediate effect .

Born in 1994 in the Lahore city of Pakistan, Babar Azam is a right handed batter of Pakistan cricket team and with his performance since the day he joined the world of cricket, he has made many records, become one of the top players in all three formats and lastly, earned the captaincy of Pakistan cricket team. He started his journey at an under-15 World Championship in 2008 and he also played two under-19 World Cups in 2010 and 2012, where he was Pakistan’s top run-scorer.
