Having been born in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe, Milton Shumba debuted for the Zimbabwean team in 2021. Shumba started playing cricket from 2016 when he participated in the 2016 Africa T20 Cup. He had also represented the Under-19 team quite a few times before landing into the senior side. Shumba first played for the Under-19 team in the 2016 World Cup, 2018 World Cup and then in the 2020 World Cup as well. He played for the Rising Stars in the 2017-18 Logan Cup. Shumba was added to the Zimbabwean squad for their T20I series against Pakistan in 2020 where he made his debut. In his debut match he couldn’t do much with the bat and only scored 11 runs. Shumba took a wicket nonetheless. Shumba hasn’t played much cricket and lacks exposure as well. With time and more exposure, he’ll surely get better.
