Soon after his international debut, Lungi Ngidi became one of the pacers that carried the pace bowling attack of South African team. Ngidi was born in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natals. The 6ft 4inches Ngidi played his maiden international match in 2017 against Sri Lanka. He was added in the squad for the test series against India in 2018 where Ngidi bowled superbly and got the bowling figures of 7/87 in the first and 6/39 in the second innings.
Ngidi’s first five wickets haul in ODI came against Australia in 2020. Prior to all this, Ngidi played for the Kwa-Zulu Natals Under-19 team. He then played for the Northerns cricket team in the 2015 Africa Cup. Nigidi was bought by the Chennai Super Kings in 2018 and played for them till 2021. Ngidi can bowl above 140 kph and his short ball troubles the batter. Ngidi.
