The left hand fast medium bowler, Fareed Ahmed debuted for Afghanistan national side in 2014. Fareed played his maiden T20I match against UAE in 2014. Since his debut in 2014, Fareed has got very few chances to represent his country at the national side. He has played 29 international matches until now which is jot a very big number considering it’s been 8 years since he made his debut.
He got a good bowling record. Fareed has 15 dismissals in 10 ODIs while in the T20Is, he got 27 wickets in 19 matches. Fareed played for Kabul Zwanan in the 2018 edition of the Afghanistan Premier League. He did some fine bowling in that tournament as well. Fareed’s first prominent bowling performance came against Ireland in 2022 where he took 3 wickets for 14 runs in a T20I match. Fareed has a bright future ahead as he has improved his bowling skills a lot.
