The Asia cup 2022 tournament will be played in the months of August & September 2022. The Match will begin on 27th August. This time Asia cup was to be hosted by Sri Lanka but due to the current socio economic state of the Island nation, the asian cricket council has decided to shift the tournament to the United Arab Emirates.
Asia Cup Squads 2022:
India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are the 5 confirmed teams that will lock horns. In the 6th spot, one of the teams from Kuwait, Singapore, Hong Kong, and UAE will be captured. A qualified round will take teams forward to the tournament & the winner will get a spot in the 6th team.
Team India & Pakistan will be joined by the winner of the qualifying tournament in Group A. While Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan are in Group B slot.
At present, India and Pakistan announced their squads for Asia 2022 cup. Rohit Sharma as Skipper from the team India and Babar Azam as Team Captain from Pakistan is selected.
