A very versatile and a handy spinner, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman contributed very much to his team’s very first Under-19 title in 2017. Mujeeb got a whooping 20 wickets in 5 matches during that tournament. His performance earned him a call to play in the senior side. Mujeeb didn’t take long to make an impact and took 4 wickets on his debut match against Ireland in 2017.
Mujeeb swings the ball nicely and most of the time the batter gets tricked. He bowls a brilliant carrom ball as well. Just 1 year after his debut, he took a fifer in an ODI match against Zimbabwe. In the starting years of his career, he was named as one of the top emerging young spin bowling talents who’ll have a long run in international cricket. Mujeeb’s spell of 4/43 against West Indies at the 2018 qualifiers of World Cup helped his team in restricting West Indies to 204. Since his debut, Mujeeb has become a crucial and regular member of the team.
