Shaheen Shah Afridi
The backbone of the Pakistan bowling attack, the man who is known for taking early wickets, we are talking about Shaheen Shah Afridi. He has been absolutely brilliant since the day he entered the world of cricket. With his great and economical bowling, he is the main man for his team
He hails from a backward area of Pakistan and came to limelight when he was picked by Lahore Qalandars in 2016 and bowled magnificently throughout the tournament. He is just 22 years old and at this age, he has achieved many things. Just last year, he was the recipient of Sir Garfield Sobers trophy of Men’s ODI Cricketer of the year 2021.
He got the captaincy of Lahore Qalandars in the year 2021 and made his team win the trophy that year which in itself is just a very big achievement, as Lahore Qalandars never managed to win the trophy but under his command, they were able to do so. With 47 wickets in 40 T20 matches and economy rate of 7.75, he is definitely one of the best bowlers out there and in the ODI format, his numbers are remarkable as he has 67 wickets in just 32 matches with 6/35 being his best bowling figure. He was injured recently and his availability for the T20 World cup was doubtful but now he is back and his return will give a boost to his team.
