He is a left-handed batsman and right-arm off break bowler who has played for Netherlands in Test, One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket. Bas de leede made his Test debut against Sri Lanka in 2000 at the age of 27. He has since played 22 Test matches, scoring 1,045 runs at an average of 26.81 with a highest score of 71 not out. He has also played 156 ODIs and scored 2,844 runs at an average of 30.24 with a highest score of 155 not out. In Twenty20s he has played 50 matches and scored 1,428 runs at an average of 34.50 with a highest score of 107 not out.
