Naseem Shah was born on the 15th of December 1961, in the town of Sialkot in the Punjab province of Pakistan. His father, Abdur Rehman Shah, represented Pakistan in field hockey at the 1956 Summer Olympics and later became a cricket coach. Naseem Shah started playing cricket at an early age and showed great potential as a batsmen.

He made his first-class debut for Lahore Whites in 1978 and went on to represent several other teams throughout his career. In 1989, he made his international debut for Pakistan and went on to play 46 Tests (including one unofficial Test) and 108 ODIs. His highest score was 259 not out, which he achieved against Australia in 1997.

In 2002, he retired from international cricket after announcing his retirement from professional cricket due to injuries sustained during the 1999 World Cup tournament. Naseem Shah has since transferred his focus to coaching and has been working as a coach with several different teams throughout Pakistan.

Naseem Shah, a Pakistani cricketer, is one of the most outstanding players in the history of cricket. He has achieved remarkable success on the international stage and has helped Pakistan win several tournaments.

Shah was born on October 17, 1978 in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. His father, S J Shah, is a former fast bowler for Pakistan who also played first-class cricket for Karachi and Sukkur. Naseem’s mother is Salma Shah (nee Ghani). Naseem started playing cricket at an early age and his talent was soon recognised. He made his first-class debut at the age of 16 and soon became a regular member of the Karachi team.

In 2002, Naseem made his international debut for Pakistan against Sri Lanka. Naseem Shah (Urdu: ناصر شاه‎) (born 11 October 1973) is a Pakistani cricketer who has played for several domestic teams and also represented the country in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. He is a right-handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox bowler.

Shah was born in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan to Nasir Ahmed Shah, an industrialist and politician. He graduated from the Government College of Engineering and Technology (Pakistan), in 1994, with a degree in civil engineering.

Prior to his cricketing career, Shah worked as an engineer for various construction companies in Pakistan. The highlight of his cricketing career came when he helped his team win the Group A tournament at the 2004–05 Inter-Provincial Cricket Tournament by scoring 271 runs from seven innings including three centuries.

His first century came against Sindh while his third century came against Balochistan. In January 2005 he was selected to play for Pakistan A team in their series against Sri Lanka A team but did not make any appearances during that tour. It wasn’t until two years later that he made his Test debut against South Africa at Centurion Park on 3 December 2007.

About Naseem Shah

Naseem Shah, another young gun of Pakistani team, is just 19 years old. He started his international career in 2019 when he was inducted into the Pakistan squad for the test series against Australia and became the ninth youngest player to make debut in test format. He was again called for the test series against Bangladesh and he became the youngest player to take a hat trick. He has been an absolute star since he started his career.

With 51 wickets in 51 T20s that he has played thus far, he came to the limelight with his speed as his average speed in pace bowling is 147.5kph. He made his T20 debut in 2022 in the match against India and bowled brilliantly and almost made his team win the match.Only 6 out of these 51 T20s are international matches while rest are just league matches.

Naseem Shah plays for the Quetta gladiators’ side in the PSL and performs really well for them. He hails from a very backward area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. He took the fifer against Sri Lanka in the test series in 2019 and became the 2nd youngest player to do so. His induction into the team, gives a boost to its pace bowling attack.
