Odean Smith West indies cricket player is one of the most popular and popular cricketers currently playing in the international circuit. He was born on 18th October 1990 in Jamaica, to a cricketing family. His father named him after Australian batsman, Neil O’Donnell and his mother’s maiden name is Smith. He was raised in the town of Ocho Rios and played cricket for St Peter’s College, before making his international debut for Jamaica in 2007.

He first came to prominence when he helped Jamaica win the 2009 World T20 Qualifier tournament. From then on, he slowly gained recognition and participated in international tournaments such as the ICC World Cup Qualifier (2011), England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Championship (2012), South African Airways Pro20 Series (2013), Indian Premier League (IPL) (2014) and Sri Lanka Premier League (2015). In February 2016, he was bought by Somerset County Cricket Club for a fee of £175,000. Smith has also played first-class cricket for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, Northamptonshire County Cricket Club, Middlesex County Cricket Club and Somerset County Cricket Club. Born on the 25th of September 1989 in Nevis, Odean Smith West Indies International Cricket Player has been a part of the West Indies cricket team since 2006. He made his Test debut against Zimbabwe at Harare in 2006 and has played 22 Tests till date scoring 864 runs with two centuries and seven fifties. In One Day Internationals, he has scored 1487 runs with six centuries and twenty fifties. He also represented the side in Twenty20 Internationals scoring 116 runs with a half century. Odean is currently playing for Surrey County Cricket Club in England where he is captain of the side. Odean is married to Sheryl Smith and they have a daughter named Hailey Grace who was born on the 6th of December 2016.

Odean Smith is a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler who represents the Windies in international cricket. He made his first-class debut for Jamaica in 2010 against Barbados. He has since played for Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, the Windies, and Ireland. In May 2018, he was named in the Windies’ squad for the 2018 Cricket World Cup.

Odean Smith West indies cricket player, Odean Smith is a left-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who has played for the Windward Islands in international cricket. He was born on May 22nd, 1993 in Trinidad and Tobago. Odean made his first-class debut for the Windward Islands against Barbados in December of 2012. In March of 2013 he scored his maiden first-class century against Guyana. In February of 2016 he signed a new contract with the Windward Islands Cricket Board (WICB) which will keep him with the team until 2020.

Smith has also represented Trinidad and Tobago at U19 levels, as well as playing for the Combined Campuses and Collegeses XI against England U19s. In October of 2013 he was named in the squad to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the second Test match against India in Dominica. The Test match ended in a draw, with both sides taking two wickets apiece.

Smith made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for Trinidad and Tobago against Sri Lanka on November 8th, 2015. He scored 14 runs from 7 balls before being dismissed by Lakshan Sandakan.[1] In October of 2016 he was part of the Trinidad and Tobago squad that competed at the 2016 World T20 Qualifier tournament in Nepal. He finished as the joint fifth highest scorer with 154 runs from 5 matches.[2]

When I first met Odean Smith, he was a young cricket player looking to make a name for himself. Fast forward a few years and here we are – friends and colleagues.
