Yuzvendra Singh Chahal was born on 23 July 1990 in Jind, Haryana. He is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Indian national cricket team. Chahal is a leg-spinner and he bats right-handed.

Chahal made his first-class debut for Haryana in November 2010 against Vidarbha. In January 2011, he was bought by the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore for $1 million. He made his IPL debut in April 2011.

Chahal made his One Day International (ODI) debut for India against Zimbabwe in June 2016. He took his first ODI five-wicket haul in the same series. In January 2017, he took his maiden Test wicket, that of Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim.
