Lohan Louwrens was born on 18 November 1988, in Windhoek, Namibia. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler who played for Namibia in the 2007 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and the 2008 ICC World T20.

Louwrens made his first-class debut for Namibia against Zimbabwe in February 2007. He scored an unbeaten 84 from 111 balls, helping his team to victory by an innings and 219 runs. In September of that year, he made his List A debut against Kenya. Playing as part of Namibia’s second XI, he took 2/26 from eight overs.

In March 2008, Louwrens played for Namibia at the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Malaysia. He made five appearances in the tournament, scoring 156 runs at an average of 36.50, with a high score of 79 not out against Papua New Guinea. His performances saw him selected in the squad for the 2008 ICC World T20 held in South Africa later that year. Louwrens finished the tournament with six wickets from 10 matches at an average of 25.00, including 2/12 from four overs against India which helped Namibia to a tenuous nine-man victory in their Group B opener.
