Aaron James Finch is an Australian cricketer who has played first-class cricket for Victoria and Australia since 2007. He made his international debut for Australia in February 2010, and has since played 45 Test matches, 151 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 34 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). He became the first Australian to score a triple century in Tests, when he achieved the feat against India in January 2018. In all formats of the game, he has scored over 10,000 runs with an average of 43.87.

Finch began his cricketing career with the Northern Districts Cricket Association at the age of 12. He made his first-class debut for New South Wales in 2006 and played for them until 2009. In 2008, he was named player of the tournament at the Sheffield Shield.

In January 2010, Finch was signed by English county side Nottinghamshire on a short-term contract. He made his debut for Nottinghamshire in February 2010 and played two further first-class matches that year. However, he did not feature for the county side again and left after one season.
